IMMERSIVE MEDIA CENTER

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Let's walk around inside the blueprints.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could do just that--take the drawings from the architect's desk and immediately walk around inside the finished project before the plans were ever finalized?

GVR 120 theater. The large one has a screen over twice this size, but this little one fits into any number of small places. In fact, if you have a room 20 x 20 x 10, its a shoe-in.
Simulation of a simulation chamber...

This is the purpose of the Immersive Media Center, IMC, designed by Metavision and marketed by our sister company, Panoram Technologies. The IMC is a special theater with a 120° wrap around Video Panoram group virtual reality display achieved with three data projectors in combination with special hardware that blends the images together into the seamless image.

Plans are converted to computer models inside a supercomputer and displayed so large and clearly that, instantly, you are IN the model. The image is over 20 times the clarity of a television screen and movement through the model is smooth, seamless and totally interactive, filling your peripheral vision and allowing you to see things no blueprint, illustration or table top model could reveal.

An entire group of twenty or more decision makers can inspect, walk through, review, refine, revise and arrive at agreement on a wide range of project details by interacting with the design.

The IMC view permits detailed group interactive inspection and realistic experience of:

Mistakes often start out as the simplest of errors. Correcting errors should be made just as simple, because correcting mistakes on a big project will cost time and money. The IMC sessions not only catch mistakes, they improve complex projects by allowing intuitive participation in a set of plans before the cement is poured.

Sessions in the IMC allow designers, owner/operators, safety engineers, bankers and maintenance technicians to walk the site months before the plans are stamped for construction.

For themed attractions this means far fewer errors in construction and faster project deliveries. For contractors, this means a chance to see what it is supposed to look like before it is built, resulting in a clearer vision of the final site and a better understanding of critical features and novel construction procedures.

For you, it means a chance to walk inside the project intuitively before mistakes are made, permitting you to change things around as you wish without having to decipher a bunch of non-intuitive blueprints.

It's your Big Picture.
