EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
- Guest Experience is driven by both awareness and emotion.
- When it is designed right it connects twice.
Good experiences make good memories. So, how does one design for that?
- Heighten the drama.
- Bring on the surprises.
- Fill the audience with fun.
- Exceed audience expectations.
Often it is important to guide the audience as to how to absorb the experience most effectively because they are often in a very unique environment.
For example:
In any 360° presentation it is guaranteed that more than half of the media cannot be seen by any given individual at every moment. This could lead to chaos and disappointment if media in this format were not considerately prepared. By carefully guiding the viewer's focus to the sector of the screen where the action is centered or providing interesting points of attention all around during uncentered moments, we maximize a viewer's sense of participation.
Eyes don't see in 360° but ears do. Using the audio track to fill in what can't be seen or to call for visual attention to a specific part of the circle gives guests the information they need to feel like they didn't miss a thing.
