DiamondVision

Original DiamondVision Screen

Remember when there was no such thing as a giant, stadium sized color TV set?

Back in the early 1980's Mitsubishi invented DiamondVision and the Los Angeles Dodgers were the first to have it. But a giant, silent TV in a stadium created a quandary. It was a medium neither party had any eperience using.

Fortunately for both, Metavision was able to see the problem with fresh eyes.

Back then, neither manufacturer nor host stadium realized how team player data could be reviewed, instant replays could be made available or home run fireworks could be electronic!

Metavision coordinated the first season of display and developed the video feed system needed to make it baseball-friendly.

1981 All Star Game

Today, you would be hard pressed to find a major stadium that didn't have a giant full color TV complete with all the conventions we established way back then and it has been our delight to see how Guest Experience friendly these screens have become.

Play ball!
